Exciting times are ahead for The Hills District with passionate locals, Claire Bennett and Katie Maclean, releasing The Hills community cookbook in early October.
With the sense of community at an all time high within the Hills District, the cookbook aims to strengthen bonds between members of the Hills District community.
The exclusive cookbook will be filled with much-loved recipes from residents of the Hills District community and will give back to the community by donating $5 from every cookbook sold to help support locals doing it tough.
“Katie and I wanted to provide a platform for locals to help locals,” said Ms Bennett.
“I moved to Ferny Hills with my family less than 2 years ago, and I’m overwhelmed on a daily basis by the kindness, generosity and support members of our community offer each other.”
Ms Bennett said, “The idea of producing a community cookbook where we could involve members of the community and raise money to go towards helping our neighbours who have fallen upon hard times is what drives us and this project.”
If you have a tried and tested favourite recipe, why not share it with your neighbours. You can submit your recipe by filling out the online submission form or dropping your recipe, together with the submission form, into the Arana Hills Library.
The high end, A4 sized limited edition cookbook will be sure to stand the test of time and will be available to purchase from local outlets within the Hills District for $20. To ensure you don’t miss out on your copy, you can pre-order here.
