A Joy Ride in the Bash Car

Local Councillors Cath Tonks, Matt Constance and State Member Tim Mander were covered in mud and still had smiles on their faces when the Albany Creek Rover Scouts took them for a joy ride in their Bash Car.  Scouts love adrenaline packed activities and wanted to showcase their project car that they have rebuilt after many years of it sitting idle.  Engaging local youth in motorsports that is safe and legal allows them to have fun and ensures the safety of both them and their friends.

Our new Rover Unit meets weekly on a Monday evening and they are always seeking new members to join. Activities are varied and can include anything from motorsports, dirt karts, scuba diving, abseiling, rock climbing, camping, or even acting, singing or running a stage show the list goes on of all the activities you can learn, participate in and receive certification in including Leadership, Outdoor Education, Volunteering and Business Management.

Rover Scouts are inclusive of all and we welcome all young adults from 18 to 25 years of age. You don’t need to have any Scouting experience, but you do need to keep up with some adventurous people and their adrenaline-packed adventures!  Further information can be provide by emailing contact@albanycreek.scoutsqld.com.au

The Bash Car in all its glory!
