A Major Win For Arana Touch

Arana Touch won one of the major trophies at the Queensland Junior State Cup in Hervey Bay by taking out the small Association trophy. This was for teams in local associations from 1 – 50 teams. Then there was the medium association and the large association trophies.

Arana took eight teams to the event with both boys and girls teams for under10, 12, 14, and 16. All teams won one or two games, except the under 14 girls. But it was the Under 12 and under 14 boys that had the greatest success. Both teams made the Quarter finals of the competition. This was a first for Arana Touch, although both were beaten in the quarter finals by Redlands, and Coomera.

The Arana teams played in over fifty games throughout the weekend and won close to fifty percent of these games. All teams and coaches are looking to return next year to challenge some of the bigger associations.
