TerryWhite Chemmart Arana Hills is thrilled to announce an exciting new service to join the ever increasing services offered by The Clinic Hub. The pharmacist manager Peter Fairgray, is bringing a first of its kind service to Queensland. Mens Health Downunder is a pharmacist-based program that has been offered to men in the ACT for nearly 10 years. This program has helped thousands of men with their health “downunder” since its launch, and is now poised to help men in Brisbane and beyond.
Peter holds accreditation from the Mens Health Downunder team and will be offering a comprehensive Mens Health service. Three specialty areas make up the service, firstly pre- and post-Prostate surgery to set men up for the best recovery possible following the procedure. Secondly male incontinence, whether it has developed from old age, an injury, or post-surgery. And thirdly, erectile dysfunction issues, regardless of cause. You can also get assistance with a lesser known condition called Peyronie’s disease. In fact Peter can help with anything that relates to the health of the male anatomy!
Private consultations can be booked with Peter to obtain information, medication options and medical devices, compliance understanding and to answer any questions for any of these conditions.
“These are really sensitive issues and I know blokes sometimes don’t like to talk about them, but who better to talk to than a pharmacist who has the knowledge and time to sit and talk, assist with rehab aids, improve compliance, provide solutions, and answer all your questions” says Peter. “It is distressing to think there are men – and their partners – in our community not doing all they can to have their best recovery and a close to “normal” life. Sometimes just starting the conversation is the hardest part, but I am here to help” Peter adds.
TerryWhite Chemmart Arana Hills will be offering appointments to see Peter, book direct on the Men’s Health Downunder website. Peter is also able to conduct telehealth consultations if you live outside of Brisbane or are unable to come to the pharmacy.
This new service will also assist with couples going to see our Fertility pharmacist Kylie who runs a Fertility Hub at the pharmacy, to help the men whose partners are going through IVF treatments. Kasey, our credentialled diabetes educator says it may also be of interest to our diabetes service customers – as men with diabetes are at increased likelihood of having erectile dysfunction.
If you, or a man in your life would benefit from meeting with Peter, please take the first important step and make a booking today.
