What a sensational year 2019 was for the Neptunes Synchronised Swimming Club. From winning a plethora of medals at Championships internationally, to gracing prime time TV and also featuring in the Cancer Council’s Ugly Rashie Campaign. There is no stopping this club!
September 2019 saw Neptunes head coach, Krisztina Szedlak taking a team of five to the New Zealand Championships in Dunedin. Everyone performed well with Bella Zanatta scoring two bronze Senior Solos along with Madeleine Laurent and Bella Zanatta winning two silver Senior Duets.
Bella and Madeleine travelled again with coach Krisztina to Malaysia in the last weekend of November 2019. The girls again achieved an outstanding result and brought home Silver in both the Technical and Free Senior duets at the 11th Asia Pacific Open & Age Group Artistic Swimming Championships 2019 at the State Aquatic Centre Paroi, Seremban.
As if winning medals wasn’t enough for the Neptunes, some of the club members have featured in the ‘Ugly Xmas Rashie’ project for the annual Cancer Council Queensland campaign. They took part in the day of filming at Centenary Pool and are part of the video ‘A Synchronised Summer’ that can be viewed on https://www.facebook.com/uglyxmasrashie
