The John Oxley District Orchid Society is gearing up for their Annual Winter Show this coming July and you don’t have to be an Orchid lover to enjoy this event.
Yes, there will be mass displays of orchids in flower. Hybrids, Species Orchids from around the world and our own Native Orchids, but there will also be lots of plants and growing accessories for sale.
This event is the perfect chance to purchase some plants and increase your collection and you may even be tempted to start the rewarding hobby of growing orchids. They aren’t as hard to grow as most people think.
Potting demonstrations will take place on both days at 10am and 1pm and there will be cultural advice all day.
If you are a budding photographer, this is the perfect opportunity for photographers to photograph these amazing flowers.
The event will be held at the Botanic Gardens. To make transportation easier, Brisbane City Council runs a bus service to the event however, there is off street parking, with disabled parking at the front door if you prefer to ‘take your own ride.’
