An event for the young and the old

This term, the Ferny Grove State High School AIM Classes have been working together to create an event that they could host for their community organisations.

The classes have been working with both Ferny Grove State School and Keperra Sanctuary Aged Care and decided to host a tea next to the school’s Agricultural farm. The students planned the whole event that included: Games, activities, food, refreshments and music, all the way down to the invitations that were sent out to all involved.

It was a huge success for the Year 10, 11 and 12 AIM students. The Primary School students loved the activities and the food, whilst the ‘Oldies’ enjoyed the parkland setting, fresh cups of coffee and tea whilst chatting to the students. It was all capped off with a fun rendition of ‘Old McDonald Had a Farm’ where Ferny Grove State High School Principal, Mr Schuh, could be seen waving his arms like a chicken and modelling to the students how to enjoy the moment. A day to be remember by all in attendance, no doubt about it!
