Big Year Ahead for Serenata Singers!

The Seranata Singers at a concert ‘Pre-Covid’

The Serenata Singers, a community choir based in The Gap, will be celebrating its fiftieth anniversary in 2020. In addition to a packed concert schedule, the year will be marked by a special reunion function that will commemorate this milestone. Photos and documents drawn from the choir’s history will be available for viewing in the choir’s website too.

The choir is always looking for new members and 2020 would be an ideal time to join! The choir sings a variety of popular, traditional, spiritual and show tunes. It rehearses weekly on Monday evenings at The Gap Uniting Church and performs regularly mainly for retirement communities, care facilities and community groups. The choir is particularly interested in adding some male voices. No audition is necessary, an ability to read music is helpful, but not required.

The choir will hold an open night on Monday 2nd March at 7.15pm at The Gap Uniting Church auditorium, 1050 Waterworks Road, The Gap. This is a no-obligation chance to meet choir members, find out about the choir, and observe and join in a rehearsal. If you can hold a tune and love to sing, we would love for you to join us in 2020!
