2020 marks the start of an exciting new era for the Albany Creek Brumbies Rugby Union Club.
In February construction will begin on a modern, new $1.5million clubhouse, which players and their families will be able to enjoy from the start of the 2021 season.
The new facilities will include; four universally designed change rooms, officials rooms, a first-aid room, gym space, spectator amenities, canteen with cold room and dry store, BBQ area and storerooms.
Excitement around the club is at an all time high, according to Club President Col Langton.
‘The new clubhouse, will arrive in time of our clubs 25th season which marks an exciting turning point for the Albany Creek Brumbies,’ Mr Langton said.
The club stresses that there will be minimal disruptions to the 2020 season during construction. Most importantly, there will be absolutely no disruptions to training or games.
Mr Langton said 2020 is the perfect time to sign up for Rugby.
‘The World Cup in Japan last year was a huge success and showed just how popular the sport is around the world.
‘Our club has an excellent reputation within the local community. Our coaches are exceptional and dedicated and we are a family friendly club who cares very much about our players and their families.
‘Yes, a lot of us are mad rugby fans and passionate supporters of the game but our number one priority is the children in our care and our desire to see them enjoy the sport, learn the skills to play well and make some wonderful friends.’
Registrations for the 2020 season are now open. An early bird saving of $35 per player is available for those who sign up before 1 February 2020.
