While 2020 hit the Samford Show hard, the show society is aiming to bring the event back in 2021 bigger than ever on the 10th and 11th July.
Preparations for the event are in full swing, and there are some amazing competitions on offer. The Adult Arts and Craft section are now calling for all entries for this years show. There are usually have over 300 exhibits in this section, showcasing the works from the wonderfully talented people from around the region. If you are a bit of a creative, why not consider entering your art and craft into this competition? There are some great prizes on offer including cash prizes thanks to the generosity of the Hon Peter Dutton MP, Nikki Boyd MP and Cr Darren Grimwade.
The Champion Craft and Champion Art winners will receive $350 each along with a trophy and sash. The People’s Choice winner will score $150 and the Novice Art winner will receive $100 plus five lessons from Helen Evans of The Art Train Samford.Vouchers from Slab Hut Art and Craft Gallery Samford and Arana Leagues Club dinner vouchers will also be shared between the winners.
Entry forms are now available at www.samfordshowsociety.com.au. From 1st June you can also pick up copies from Samford Design and Copy Centre, Slab Hut Art and Craft Gallery- John Scott Park Samford, Samford Post Office and Samford Variety Store.
Due to COVID-19 regulations, entrants will be required to read through the conditions of entry before delivering the forms.
