Sleeping under the stars, waking to birdsong and bonding with family are among the timeless joys of camping. Often though, the experience is accompanied by frustrating holiday traffic and an endless refrain of ‘are we there yet?’
If you don’t have the time or patience for a long trek, why not look closer to home where you can embrace a sense of wilderness and adventure, even if it’s only for a night or two. There are a fabulous array of camping spots close by, however did you know you can set up camp just over the range in Baden Powell Park in Samford? Baden Powell Park is owned by Scouts Queensland and is accliamed by the Scouting Association as one of their best!
The site is open for private camping and you are welcome to bring your camper trailer or caravan. Feature of the park include a 15m abseiling tower and solar heated pool as well as toilet and shower facilities.
