Construction starts on new $81 million Ashford Residences, Everton Park

Mirvac has commenced construction on its new $81 million Ashford Residences community at Everton Park in Brisbane, including the creation of a one-hectare eco area alongside popular Kedron Brook.

Civil contractor Pensar has been engaged to start work on the initial stages which will form part of the new Ashford Residences community. On completion, the new community will feature 124 residences, including 43 freestanding homes and 80 three and four bedroom terrace homes, along with the newly restored heritage Queenslander, ‘Murphy’s Dairy Residence’.

The first release of land lots, including a selection with leafy outlooks and direct access to Kedron Brook cycleway, is already more than 50 per cent sold and anticipated to be delivered late 2020 and early 2021 for stage one and stage two respectively.

Work has also commenced on the eco area, which will adjoin the existing Kedron Brook bikeway and waterway. Prior to commencement, the eco area was designed with lush planting and landscaping to appeal to residents and support local flora and fauna.

Ashford Residences is the second residential project Mirvac has commenced construction on in Brisbane this year, starting two months after the publicly listed developer turned the sod on its $77 million Tulloch House apartments – the second stage of the Ascot Green community, being developed alongside Eagle Farm in Ascot.

Mirvac Head of Residential Stuart Penklis said it was a major milestone to start work on a second community in as many months, creating more than 122 construction jobs and delivering quality new housing in a sought-after inner-north area.
