Samford and Surrounds Open Studios and Arts Trail is happening in June again this year. Samford creative arts people are opening their studios to visitors for the first four weekends in the month.
The Trail gives visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the flourishing Samford region art world as well as enjoy the stunning winter landscape of this region.
Many acclaimed resident artists, who live the Creative Samford life, look forward to welcoming visitors for this event. You will be able to gain a unique insight into the work and environment of artists, artisans and creative souls who make the region their home.
And, of course, their artwork is available for sale, if you’re looking for something unique.
“Now in its fourth year, this incredible project has been put together by the artists themselves,” said spokesperson Sue Ford, a silk textile artist herself.
The many cafes, restaurants and specialty shops and galleries that are a magnet for city dwellers each weekend will be well prepared to welcome many more visitors in June for the Trails. If café fare is not to your liking, why not bring a picnic, grab a coffee and enjoy the many spots around the Valley where you can sit, eat, drink and enjoy the scenery.
The 2018 event will open each weekend in June, commencing 2 June; the last weekend is 23 and 24 June. Studios open between 10am and 4pm each day. Entry to studios is free.
Information booklets and maps with studio locations are now available from galleries and libraries in the Moreton Bay Regional Council area; or online at www.creativesamford.com and www.facebook.com/CreativeSamford/
