Everton Volunteers Awards
I am once again delighted to host the Everton Volunteers Awards, an afternoon tea and awards ceremony to recognise the outstanding contribution volunteers make to the Everton electorate.
This was a fantastic event last year and I hope it will be even bigger and better this time!
I want to encourage you to nominate your local community hero under one of the following five categories:
• Community Volunteer of the Year
• Sports Volunteer of the Year
• School Volunteer of the Year
• Young Volunteer of the Year (under 25 years)
• 2019 Volunteer of the Year

Blackwood St Halloween Festival
Come along on Sunday the 27 October for the Blackwood St Halloween Festival in Mitchelton. This is a fantastic, fun local community event that I support and attend each year. It’s a chance for children, families and local businesses to enjoy celebrating Halloween in a safe and secure environment.
The Halloween Street Parade will run between 3pm – 7pm and there will also be market stalls, live music, food, beverages and face painting.
Be sure to drop by my stall for the ‘lolly competition’, where you get the chance to guess how many lollies are in the jar and be in the draw to win! Don’t forget to dress up!
