Bridge Link

Locals from Everton Hills have contacted me about constructing a bridge from Boundary Park (Everton Hills) to the Kedron Brook Bikeway (Mitchelton).  This section is the missing link in connecting local bike riders and pedestrians with a safe pathway to the city.

I’ve been in discussions with Cr Matt Constance to work out the feasibility of this walk path/bikeway and will continue to investigate this project.  I’ll keep you up to date with any progress.

Get Ready – Storm Season

Summer is fast approaching, and so is our storm season.  Queenslanders can be hit hard with a wide range of natural disasters and I want to encourage you to take these three steps to ‘Get Ready’.

Step 1: Have a Plan

A household emergency and evacuation plan will ensure you and your household know exactly what to do if the worst happens.

Step 2: Pack Supplies

If you’re unable to leave your home due to an emergency, pack some essential items to last you three days.  Make sure everyone knows where your emergency kit is located and that it’s easily accessible.

Step 3: Make sure you’re insured

Whether you own your own home or are renting, make sure you know what insurance cover you have regarding natural disasters. The ‘Get Ready’ booklet will provide you with suggested questions to ask your insurer.
