Ann Russell is an accomplished and award winning Teaching Artist in the Moreton Bay Region.
She has more than 30 years’ experience helping people of all ages and abilities to tap into their creative potential, which she passionately believes everyone has. As an artist, she has been shortlisted for numerous prestigious awards, including The Churchie, has exhibited broadly and her work is held in public collections in Queensland and interstate. As an art educator, she endeavours to help people unlock their creative potential in a safe and non-judgemental environment.
She is firmly convinced that art making should be an enjoyable and therapeutic activity; one which helps to develop higher levels of thinking such as observation, empathy, critical and analytical skills and problem solving. It also contributes to sound mental health and wellbeing, and can be useful to anyone who wants to stimulate the creative, reflective parts of their brain.
Ann’s studio is in beautiful leafy Cashmere, is wheelchair friendly and air conditioned for your comfort. Classes are kept at a maximum of six to allow for individual attention and the relaxation of participants. As a qualified, registered teacher, Ann works with students aged 7 to 97 and caters for the individual needs of each person.
