Give Hockey A Go!

Hockey can benefit a child in a myriad of ways by learning physical, social and emotional skills.

Not only can this popular sport improve balance, coordination, speed and endurance but hockey can also help your child develop their social and communication skills.

If you are looking for a local club to join then Arana Ascot Junior Hockey Club is the answer. This friendly club is gearing up for an exciting season and is looking forward to welcoming back players in 2020. They are also seeking new faces for their teams. Children from age four right through to 17 year olds are welcome to join in the fun.

The club also offers opportunities for members to play in either turf or grass teams. Turf teams train at Buringbar Park, Chermside and their grass teams train at Tramway Street, Ferny Grove.

Their committed coaches and regular development sessions ensure each child has the opportunity to succeed, with many players making representative teams.

If your child would like to give hockey a go, pop down to meet some of their members  at their sign on day on Saturday 1st February from 9am – noon at at Rebel Sport, Mitchelton.
