Grab a cheap ride!

The Brisbane City Council Cabs service organises shared taxis at scheduled times for residents who find it difficult to get to their local shops. You can use Council Cabs if you are over 60 years old, mobility impaired or hold a Pensioner Concession Card or Centrelink Seniors Card.

If you are eligible to use this service, you may be accompanied by a carer or a child under your care.

To make sure there is room for everyone, shopping is limited to five regular plastic bags or three recycled bags per passenger.

The Council Cab operates weekly in most Brisbane City Council suburbs. In some areas, services are offered twice a week. The service picks you up from your home and takes you to your local shopping centre. Each one-way trip costs between $1 and $3.

To book a Council Cabs service, phone 3403 2227. For more information visit www.brisbane.qld.gov.au/traffic-and-transport/public-transport/council-cabs
