Hockey Queensland U18 Women State Championships hits Chermside

Brisbane will see an influx of visitors on the 26th – 28th June with the hosting of the U18 Women’s State Hockey Championships.
The tournament will be held at Brisbane Northside Hockey Centre, Burringbar Park on Kittyhawk Drive at Chermside.

Finals for the tournament will be played from early on Tuesday 28th June.

Brisbane Women’s Hockey Association will be competing with four teams in the Championships.

The Championships present a great opportunity to showcase the state’s incredible hockey talent in a round robin competition, and are used as a selection opportunity for the Queensland U18 Hockey Teams.

The squads will meet in February 2023 for a weekend of trials where Men’s and Women’s teams will be named to compete at the 2023 Australian Championships.

“Being able to host these Championships at this first class hockey facility in Brisbane can only be done because of the effort and support provided to hockey by the wider hockey community – players, coaches, managers, umpires, technical officials, staff, volunteers and spectators – thank you to you all.” –  Dr Karin Walduck (President – BWHA)
