Kakowan Koffee On The Way!

From the Golden Valley Keperra Lions Club with Paul Ryan

Many readers will be aware that your Golden Valley Keperra Lions Club now manages the ‘Kakowan Community Facility’ at 2 Pine Hills Drive, Bunya.

Well, we are well and truly open for business and would welcome your booking inquiry through our website: www.kakowan.org.au

This is a beautiful new facility, built by Moreton Bay Regional Council for a wide range of community members, including; private individuals, Not for Profits, Small Business and Corporates. The centre is extremely diverse and can be used for functions, events, meetings and classes. We already we have Yoga (Yoga Pond), Pilates (Pilartistry), Patchwork, Book Club and Hand and Foot Card groups as regular bookings.

We also look forward to the two weeks prior to the Federal Election, when half of Kakowan will be used as an election Pre Polling Booth.

However, the best most exciting news is the Kakowan Community Facility will open it’s Coffee Shop on the 26th April. Called Kakowan Koffee, we will have professional baristas supplied by the Lions very own Donna McMahon owner of Coffee on the Way, with Lions Club members assisting in the background. We are planning to be open 6.30am to 2.30pm every day, with beautiful coffee and light snacks. The centre will be a great place to sit and enjoy the surroundings, catch up with friends or slip in for a quick takeaway.

Taking on these projects on behalf of the community is a pleasure, but it’s the volunteers that make things happen. Your Lions Club is always looking for people to give us a hand, so if you have some free time to give back to your community, we would love to hear from you.
