Keperra Golf Club scores a hole in one with Tangalooma Island Resort

Beautiful Tangalooma is renowned worldwide for its white sand beaches, crystal clear waters

Keperra Country Golf Club has welcomed one of Brisbane’s most iconic holiday destinations, Tangalooma Island Resort, as its new Principal Sponsor.

This is the top tier of sponsorship the Club offered in its recent drive to connect with and support the local business community.

Tangalooma is on Moreton Island, the third largest sand island in the world, renowned for its white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and diverse flora and fauna and the Resort has been welcoming guests for more than 40 years.

Keperra Country Golf Club General Manager Gavin Lawrence said it was exciting to have Tangalooma on board.

‘Many of our Club members will have, over the years, taken the 75-minute cruise across the bay to enjoy the Resort’s wide range of activities,’ he said.

‘We are excited to be partnering with such an iconic business that people in Brisbane and Queensland as well as interstate and internationally have embraced.

‘As the weather warms it’s the perfect time for people to reacquaint themselves with and explore this holiday playground in Brisbane’s back yard.’

Tangalooma Island Resort Director David James said the Resort was proud to partner with the Keperra Country Golf Club.

‘We are keen to support the Club as part of a wider commitment to work with and assist local businesses in the area,’ Mr James said.

‘Tangalooma has long been a locally owned and operated business and is always keen to give back to the community where possible through sponsorships and partnerships such as this one.

‘We are excited to work with the team at Keperra and look forward to a long-standing and mutually beneficial partnership that also offers great incentives to members to come out and enjoy an incredible Tangalooma beach holiday in the months and years ahead.’

Tangalooma welcomes both day visitors and holidaying guests, with eight different types of accommodation. Activities on offer range from snorkelling the famed Tangalooma shipwrecks and tours in clear bottom kayaks and on ATV quad bikes to parasailing, sand tobogganing and the opportunity to hand feed the wild dolphins which visit each evening at sunset.
