The Samford Museum as it looked back in 1990

The Samford Museum is open again for visitors on Sundays between 10am and 4pm in accordance with COVID 19 rules.

The museum will also open its doors during the week on Wednesdays, commencing on the 5th August from 10am- 4pm.  Please note, a small admission fee applies.

Research enquiries are welcome, however a call to Geoff on 0417 610 983 advising of your topic of interest prior to visiting is appreciated. Group visits are welcome by pre-arranged appointment, however  please contact Geoff for more details and information.

The displays at the museum take visitors back in time into the district’s rural, domestic, educational and railway past. There is also a research collection that includes numerous reminiscences by families with strong links to Samford and surrounding districts, published local history books and information relating to numerous past and current organisations. An extensive photo collection is also available for browsing.

Samford Museum is located in Station Street, Samford Village and has grown from a one building museum at our opening in 1986 to the complex of today.  The facility is managed and operated entirely by volunteer members.
