Upper Kedron residents have a new park to visit, featuring state-of-the-art play equipment designed to suit all ages. The park that sits alongside natural bushland in the Ellendale community and is locatedat the end of Cascade Place, Upper Kedron.
The park features a one-of-a-kind playground, including a unique eight metre play tower, climbing nets, tunnel slides, swings, quattro see-saw, shade sails and a hill structure for toddlers.
It also comprises three sheltered lookout areas, a barbeque, links to walk and cycle pathways and a 500sqm kickabout space, with views across the 227 hectare Ellendale community.
Cedar Woods Senior Development Manager, Peter Starr, said the new Ellendale park provided a vibrant recreation hub for residents to enjoy.
“This will be the central meeting place for residents and families to come together and socialise, while enjoying 360 degree views of the adjoining South D’Aguilar National Park,” he said.
“Anyone from the surrounding Upper Kedron and Keperra area is also invited to enjoy the park and see what makes Ellendale special – the beautiful natural surrounds and warm community atmosphere.
“A second phase of the park is also in the planning stages and, subject to Council approval, is set to include a bushland trail through remnant vegetation, which will link with a dog off-leash exercise area.”
