With 2020 behind them, The Hill’s Players are back to business as usual.
2021 kicked off with the Annual General Meeting, which was held on the 1st February and saw a reshuffle of roles to keep things interesting.
In other news, The Hills Players are super excited to announce that they will finally be performing ‘Always a Bridesmaid’ by Jesse Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten Pat Cook, arranged through MTI Australasia. It’s been a long time coming and the play’s script is an absolute delight, not only making it a fun play to see, but a whole lot of fun for the cast to perform. Be sure to lock a date in to see the play. Performances are scheduled for 7th, 8th , 14th and 15th May at 7.30pm at St Matthews Church Hall, Church Road, Mitchelton. Ticket prices are $15 (adult) and $10 (seniors and students). Bookings can be made by calling 3351 4496 or 3355 7319.
Rehearsals for the comedy set in a ‘Southern State of America’ are in full swing. The cast are really enjoying bringing their characters of Kari, Libby-Ruth, Sedalia, Monette and Deedra to Monday and Wednesday rehearsals each week. The Southern accents have proved interesting to perfect, but the cast are definitely on track, but I guess you can be the judge on the night.
The Hills Players will also continue their monthly meetings on the 1st Monday of every month at St Mathews Hall, Mitchelton. If you’d like to be involved, please feel free to pop along, or email HillsPlayers@gmail.com More information can be found on their website www.thehillsplayers.com
