The Everton Park Bowls Club has been an integral part of the Everton Park Community for the past 54 years. The club is located at 7 Gearside Street, Everton Park and is not only home to north-west Brisbane’s avid local bowlers, but also plays host to a variety of local community clubs and organisations.
After all this community service, it is of no surprise that the club has recently been treated to some much needed TLC in the form of a mammoth $900,000 renovation.
The renovations commenced three years ago with a complete renewal of the greens and facilities. A new synthetic green was installed and the exterior of the club house painted, giving this iconic club a fresh new look.
Following the improvements to the exterior, refurbishments began in the club house. Refurbishments were made to the administration area, bar and bistro, gaming area, lounge and dining areas was completed, all to the utmost of standards.
Over the past year, the last leg of the renovations have continued onto front entrance, which has now been remodelled. In addition, the function room has received a complete overhaul. This newly modernised function room is now complete with a fully equipped kitchenette, PA System, hand held microphone and is capable of holding 120 people! Furthermore, this facility is fully inclusive, with disabled access and disability bathroom installed. The top quality caterers are also on hand to provide excellent catering for any function.
Since the upgrades have been completed, this sought after venue has continued to play home to many community organisations, some of which include; The Second Wind Band; Probus Club of Everton, Healthy Slimmers Weight Watchers; Everton Park Social Fishing Club; and the Everton Whist Cards Group.
Needless to say, the Everton Park Bowls Club continues to live on within the heart of the Everton Park residents and service the community as it has done for the past half a century!
