What a sensational year it has been for The Hills Echo! It has been a privilege to bring you the latest community news, stories and events each month.
Over 2018 we have seen our fabulous community newspaper grow from strength to strength within our wonderful community.
With the rise in digital craze I am delighted that our print publication is continuing to grow. We now cover a vast area of North West Brisbane via direct letterbox delivery including; Ferny Hills, Everton Hills, Arana Hills, Ferny Grove, Upper Kedron, Keperra, Grovely, Samford and Bunya. Our print run now stands at huge 14,750 copies per month. In addition, our newspaper stands are proving very popular. You can now pick up the latest issue from a variety of local coffee shops, shopping precincts and businesses. Thank you to all the business that accommodate our newspaper stands.
Although print is and always will be our hero, to keep up with the times The Hills Echo is now a multi media platform for community news. We have digital assets that include our VERY popular website, social media and an E-Newsletter. To cope with the increased traffic, our website was redesigned earlier this year. Here you will find all the latest news and stories along with a local business directory, What’s On Calendar and so much more. It’s pretty easy on the eye too so why not pop over and have a look at www.hillsecho.com?
I would like to extend a huge thank you to our loyal Hills Echo advertising family who have continued to support our local community publication both in print and online. Without our advertisers we simply could not bring this community publication to your letterbox each month.
I would also like to thank the numerous community groups, sports clubs and residents for their submissions throughout the year that provide our newspaper with engaging content.
I am extremely appreciative of the wonderful team behind me at The Hills Echo; Lyn Fryer who relentlessly proof reads each edition, Roger Fryer for his IT support, Kerri Arnold who hits the streets come rain, hail or shine to deliver The Hills Echo to all businesses. A big thanks goes to Rob Brown from Fairfax Media and the Tamworth print site who do such a great job of looking after our printing. Not forgetting my supportive and loving family for their help!
Finally I would like to thank YOU, our loyal readers, who continue to pick up The Hills Echo and follow us each month. Keep reading in 2019 as we have so much in store!
Wishing everyone a very merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.
