As this is the last column in The Hills Echo for the year, the Golden Valley Keperra Lions Club extends a warm Seasons Greetings to all residents of The Hills District.
We thank you for your support over the year, allowing us to continue our community service.
Sometimes it’s difficult to look beyond our daily struggles, the hustle and bustle of family, work and just life in general. We tend to start our day with all the negative news hitting us from television, phones, computers and radio. This can (if we let it) set us up for a day of negativity, complaining about this and that and how it effects our lives.
Please remember:-
The people reporting the news are simply doing their job. They are told what to say and when to say it.
Our Politicians will serve their communities to the best of their abilities.
Our Police and Law Enforcement officials will carry out their duties in the best interest of their community, state or nation.
We can sometimes lose perspective and take issues personally because we have a different view, we don’t know the full story or we just like to rage against the machine.
So instead of being a grumpy old man, going forwards I plan to:
• Have faith in human nature
• Look on the bright side of life
• Be grateful for everything I have and everything people
do for me
Enjoy Christmas for everything it means to you and your Family.
