Growl Theatre is currently in rehearsals for Boeing Boeing, their second show for 2021.
Directed by Charles Langford and Brendan James, who return to the directors chair following the sold out production of Suddenly Last Summer in 2020. Tickets are already selling, so book soon to avoid missing out.
Boeing-Boeing is a classic farce written by the French playwright Marc Camoletti. The English language adaptation, translated by Beverley Cross, was first staged in London at the Apollo Theatre in 1962, and ran for seven years. In 1991, the play was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most-performed French play throughout the world.
It was then revived in 2007 in London, and on Broadway in 2008, which won the Tony Award that year for Best Revival of a Play!
SYNOPSIS: In this door-slamming comedy, an architect living in Paris has been successfully juggling three flight attendant fiancées with his housekeeper reluctantly playing romantic air-traffic controller as they fly in and out of his swank bachelor pad. But when an old school pal visits, things get rather turbulent. Schedules change, flights are delayed and chaos ensues in this whirl of mayhem and matchmaking.
The play will be performed from 13th to 28th August. Commencing at 7.30pm on Friday and Saturdays, Sunday matinee is at 2pm.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $17 for concession card holders and
$15 per person for groups of six or more. Book online to secure your tickets or email email@example.com
