Set to take the summer by storm!

Ferny Hills Oztag’s family are planning their biggest summer season to date, which will all kick off on the 11th September. The club is really excited about the upcoming season as they are constantly gaining new teams and this summer they will be seeing a Mixed C division for the VERY FIRST TIME!
Ferny Hills Oztag have divisions and teams suitable for all ages and abilities for both mixed and men’s players. The competitive A grade division consists of representative players that travel to Kawana Stadium once a year to battle it out for the title of State Cup Champions. Alternatively there are Mixed B and C host players of all ages and abilities looking for a fun and social sport.
Girls from as young as 14 play in the seniors comp on Wednesday nights while one of the Men’s A teams are mainly 50+ that have been playing Oztag together for 20 or so years. This is the same team (featured on the front cover of this edition) that went all the way to the Grand Final at State Cup. Unfortunately they lost in extra time.
Junior teams also have fun, with little ones as young as five starting to develop the skills required to play Oztag. Passing, running, tagging, and kicking – the key aspects of Oztag sees the venue hosting many league, soccer and hockey teams who enjoy playing this game as an off season sport.
There are also business vouchers available to people who have never played Oztag before and would like to enter a team for FREE under a business name. That’s $1100 for the season free of charge! The Arana Hills Church of Christ jumped on board this winter season to give Oztag a go under the business voucher and are already planning to return for the summer season!
This summer will be the club’s second season at their brand new pristine fields located at 29 Darien Street, Bridgeman Downs. Mitch, the Venue Manager, has been running the club for four years now and is very passionate about the Ferny Hills Rams, working hard to try and create an environment that is fun, inclusive and engaging for people of all ages and experience levels.
