Ferny Grove TOD construction update
I have been receiving great numbers of positive enquires regarding the construction of the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) at the Ferny Grove Railway Station. I can report the project is on schedule and proceeding well.
Initial excavation work is now complete, with construction of the carpark now underway.
Once complete, the TOD will increase commuter car parking at the station by more than 43% and will provide hundreds of much needed local jobs. The multi-level carpark, which is under construction at present, should be completed around Christmas 2022 – before construction moves on to the next stage.
I am informed most of the units have now been sold – with the majority of interest coming from locals who wish to stay in the area while changing their lifestyle to incorporate the convenience the TOD will offer.
The last couple of years have been very difficult for everyone, but for residents seeking to become citizens there have been more hurdles than usual.
I would like to wish everyone who is planning to become a new citizen this Australia Day all the best! Well done on your perseverance.
Empty schools can become targets for unlawful entry, arson, stealing, graffiti and property damage, especially during school holiday periods. This comes at a cost to the whole community and not just the financial cost of repairs.
Over the past three years the Palaszczuk Government has invested over $50 million in our local schools to improve facilities. Please help to keep our schools safe over the new year period by reporting suspicious activities.
