The Hills Are Alive

For many people ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ is their absolutely favourite Shakespeare comedy.
The edgy, witty quarreling of Beatrice and Benedict has a really modern feel, as do the deep moral questions the play poses. The town’s klutzy constables, Dogberry and Verges, are some of Shakespeare’s funniest comic characters. Our energetic actors are adept at making Shakespeare’s story and script crystal clear and the audience is assured of a very funny, feisty evening.

SPADEWerx Community Theatre is presenting ‘Much Ado’ during the upcoming school and Uni holidays. We are a not-for-profit theatre group, open to all, based at St Paul’s Church Samford. Profits from each production are donated to local causes. We are always looking for new members and suggest interested people should come to “Much Ado” and consider joining future productions. We already have several Hills District members.

Performances will take place on Saturday 29th June, Friday 6th July and Saturday 7th July at 7.30pm at Samford Farmers’ Hall Main St Samford. There will also be another performance on Saturday 14th July at the Dayboro Community Hall, Dayboro at 7.30pm. Tickets are $20 for an adult and $15 for concessions and students and will be available for purchase at the door or buy prior to performance from Samford Copy Centre.
