The Hills Players hope to host a 40th Anniversary celebration on the night of the 21st November, 2020.
This, of course, is subject to any COVID-19 developments! The Players have only just made the decision, so there is alot to do in preparation for the night. It will be a review style night, with a variety of acts. Acts will include songs performed by the talented Helen Weir (always a treat), poems recited, three short plays, along with some Christmas cheer thrown in for good measure.
Fingers crossed that they will get to mark this special milestone of 40 years with this event as it will be their one and only performance of the year. Needless to say, it promises to be a fun night!
The group are currently perusing a ‘COVID Safe Plan’ for the live performances to ensure that they are fully compliant and safe on the night. This may also mean restrictions for numbers attending, so you may need to get in early if it goes ahead! Stay tuned for updates and information in the next edition of The Hills Echo.
The Hills Players would like to extend a big ‘thank you’ to the Arana Hills Library, who have kindly offered to have a display in their foyer to commemorate the 40 year anniversary! It will be a nostalgic look at the The Hills Players and will be on display for the month of November. Make sure you get along to the library to check it out.
