Three One Act Plays

The Hills Players have been busy rehearsing for our first production for 2019, “Time Will Tell”, comprising  three one act plays:  “The Pram” and “Ineligible Batchelor” both by Brisbane writer Hugh O’Brien and “Sure FM” by Michael Jeffery.

“The Pram” is a drama set over a century and five generations, commencing in 1919 and ending in 2019.  Could a vintage pram hold the key to the mysteries of the past and the true connection between today’s generation and those living 100 years ago?

The action of comedy “Sure FM” takes place in a community radio station, where Ethel Taylor is Queen of the radio waves where she bumbles her way through her program “Community Diary”.  Ethel’s old War-time songs don’t appeal to Kim and Tony who are banding together to oust her so they can present more of their 80’s tribute show and techno music segments.  But do they really know who they are up against?

The final play “Ineligible Batchelor” is a comedy taking a behind the scenes look at the not so perfect world of reality TV and the quest for love.  TV Producer Grace Walsh was not expecting the likes of Mick McGuire to turn up in her office hoping to be the next single man looking to find true love in front of an audience of millions.  Will he make the cut?

“Time Will Tell” will open at St Matthews Church Hall, Church Road, Mitchelton, on Friday 3rd May and continue Saturday 4th, Friday 10thand Saturday 11th.  For bookings please call us on 3351 4496 or 3355 7319 or email:
