The annual Samford Show is giving an excellent opportunity for local residents to showcase their talents across a range of categories on the 14th and 15th July 2018.
Show Vice-President Frank Lippett encourages Brisbane residents to get involved in the community event that draws thousands of families who come to enjoy the entertainment, displays, shows and competitions.
‘We all know someone who takes stunning photographs, has the greenest thumb, bakes mouth-watering treats and creates quilts, knitting and crochet with spectacular precision,’ said Mr. Lippett.
‘Entering these arts and crafts allows many others to enjoy your work as you enjoy the recognition for your hard work and talent.’
Local resident Miriam Sheffield says that it’s the wood chop that brings her back each year.
‘The strength and coordination it takes is amazing and it’s exciting to watch them do it so quickly. I’ve been coming to this show for years and I never miss it!’said Mrs Sheffield.
The Samford Show is also an important opportunity to showcase the local agriculture. Samford has a long farming history and the agriculture is a highlight for many community members.
There will be poultry, cattle and equestrian competitions so why not enter?
