Unitywater extends customer support in response to COVID-19

Unitywater has announced the extension of its customer care package in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

All bill due dates have been extended from 30 days to 60 days and no interest will be charged on overdue bills until March 2021.

The support was initially due to end on 30 September 2020.

Unitywater Acting Executive Manager Customer and Community Victoria Hart said the utility was committed to helping customers wherever possible.

“We know that COVID-19 has continued to place pressure on families this year and it makes sense to extend our support package,” she said.

“We know that some customers continue to face financial challenges and we encourage anyone who may be having trouble paying their bill to contact us as soon as possible so that we can help them.

“In addition to our customer care package, we announced that all charges would be frozen for the 2020-21 financial year to assist residents and businesses during this challenging time.”
