Who’s your Daddy?

August is National Family History Month and across the country events are being hosted to educate, encourage and help Queenslanders get connected with their family history and ancestors wherever they came from.

Queensland Family History Society is hosting an Open Day on 24 August at their Library & Resource Centre at 58 Bellevue Avenue Gaythorne. Come along and talk to the members on how to get started researching your family history. Spend some time checking out the resources available to see what you can find. The Society has special interest groups that have specialised knowledge of areas including DNA, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Colonial India and the Far East, and Central European.

The popular TV shows, “Who do you think you are” and “Every family has a secret” highlights the un asked questions families have and the stories that can be uncovered.
