Out of 500 TerryWhite Chemmart stores, the largest Pharmacy Banner group in Australia, TerryWhite Chemmart Arana Hills have been crowned the National TerryWhite Chemmart of the Year after taking out Queensland Pharmacy of the Year only two nights earlier.
Not only did they take out National Pharmacy of the Year award, but their Operations Manager, Chantelle Day was recognized as Queensland Retail Leader of the Year and Pharmacist Manager Peter Fairgray is a finalist in the National Pharmacist of the Year award, due to be announced at the end of June.
The Pharmacy at Arana Hills has been owned locally by Rod Garozzo since 1980 and Karen Brown joined him as a partner in 2018. After selling the renowned TerryWhite Chemmart Samford store in 2021, Karen moved to Arana Hills full time, renovating the pharmacy, incorporating a second clinic room and opening a café which is fondly called Capsule Café.
TerryWhite Chemmart Arana Hills is well known for its friendly and efficient customer service, their vibrant staff who have a wealth of knowledge. They are one of the top pharmacies in Australia for vaccinations – administering over 23,000 COVID and flu vaccines in the past 12 months! A mammoth effort!
They are also known for their unique health services they offer. They are Queensland’s only specialized Men’s Health DownUnder Pharmacy, where Pharmacist Peter assists men and their partners with erectile dysfunction and incontinence following prostate cancer surgery.
Midwife Asha offers ante-natal classes ‘Preparing for Birth’ and ‘Bringing Baby Home,’ as well as complementary post-natal appointments. Dietitian Georgia from Eat Smart Nutrition also offers consultations in the pharmacy’s Clinic Hub.
TerryWhite Chemmart Arana Hills are also renowned for their community engagement. Karen is a former Queensland Firebird so no surprises they sponsor the Pine Hills Netball Club and organise netball clinics with netball superstars to inspire our local netballers.
